Harvest of Hope Thank You by David Saltzman, Vice President of Development
Year 2008 will go down as one of the best years ever for Harvest of Hope. It was truly a stellar event at Montgomery Park with over 300 people in attendance. Our guests enjoyed an evening starting with a silent auction, wine and beer tasting, a special family video presentation, trophy awards for our Ride-For-A-Child honored kids with their riders present, and a special presentation to honor our own Dick Hartung. Stephanie Stricklen was our nights emcee again and was instrumental in helping Candlelighters raise over $20,000 for our Emergency Funds program during the special appeal. Thank you Stephanie for donating your time and your enthusiasm. This one evening took a year of planning and the participation of many individuals, sponsorsand companies. A special thank you to Janet Sams, Links-Event & Tournament Connections, Inc. for her expertise and event management. Our deep appreciation is extended to the following businesses who, in support of the Candlelighters For Children With Cancer, gave generously to ensure the success of this annual event.
